Compositor: Leonardo Adam
When the night falls
And I lay down in bed
That’s when loneliness calls
The lack of a hug, a touch to mend
A warm body, someone to hold me tight
Someone to ask how my day turned out tonight
In those moments, I feel like I’ll break
Lost in the silence, unable to escape
I need to learn to fly alone
No one’s born with someone to hold
No one dies together, no
But despite the bitter taste
The sweet is what I chase
8 billion hearts scattered all around
And still, I can’t seem to find the sound
Of a heart that beats in sync with mine
Maybe it’s passed me by
I didn't act, didn’t make it right
And now that heart has taken flight
I need to learn to fly alone
No one’s born with someone to hold
No one dies together, no
But despite the bitter taste
The sweet is what I chase
I must’ve disappointed, hurt some souls
Unaware of the damage, just letting go
But now the world turns, and here I stand
Facing the music, it’s in my hands
Let the world spin fast, and I’ll wait my turn
For the day when happiness will finally return
Until that day, I’ll enjoy my own company
Finding joy in my own melody
I won’t deny, with someone by my side
Life could be better, it could be a wild ride
